A bit about me

Many years ago, I studied Glass and Ceramics and continued my training to work with families, children, and young people both nationally and internationally.

In 2019, everything changed. For years, I wanted to start my own small business and believing that timing is everything, I finally launched Pippyb. With absolutely no idea of what I was doing, I booked my first stall at my local, lovely Tynemouth Market. It was there that I began selling my artwork.

My artwork is inspired by the children and young people I’ve met and worked with over the years. An amazing teacher once told me, "Take your magic with you!" I never forgot what he said and now, as Pippyb, I pass that message on through my bright and characterful designs.

I remember the first time I sold my first illustration and how it made me feel, exhilarated! My Pippyb stall became a place where stories were shared and community was at its best. I met wonderful people and always left feeling inspired. Without a doubt, there’s no better place than being alongside fellow market traders and creatives who understand the business and generously share their expertise and knowledge.

I currently work as a freelancer through Pippyb and also work in the community as a researcher and campaigner, remaining dedicated to community work.
